“When the world grows quiet, listen — your heart is still singing.”
Eighty years after the von Trapp family found freedom through song, one woman must rediscover what music truly means.
Clara von Trapp (Florence Pugh) is a talented composer living in New York, creating music that sells — but never moves her. When her grandmother passes away, she returns to Salzburg, where a dusty tape recorder hides an unfinished melody written by Maria von Trapp.
Haunted by its beauty, Clara sets out to finish the song — and, unknowingly, to heal herself. Along the way, she meets Leo (Austin Butler), a war correspondent who’s seen too much and feels too little. Together, they retrace Maria’s path through the Austrian mountains, learning that some songs aren’t written to be perfect — only to be true.
In a soul-stirring return, Julie Andrews appears as an elder Maria — a presence of warmth and wisdom, guiding Clara toward the courage to sing again.
The Sound of Music 2 (2026) is a story about legacy, silence, and the melodies that survive us. A gentle, resonant film about finding your voice — even when the world no longer listens.
“Because the music of the heart never fades — it just waits to be remembered.”
